sitemap question

Hello

i was wondering about the google sitemap. is it good to have links to all my pages in it or just to some specific pages ? for example like on my imageshost page. is it good to have the links to all the the pages with uploaded images etc on them in there ?? why im wondering is cause that would several hundres thousand links in there.

 

I would recommend you should include all links of your website in the sitemap. It will not hurt you to help Google crawl and index all your pages easier. You have nothing to worry about those thousands link, many forums which has over 100,000+ links can have all of them included into sitemap without a single problem toward Google.

 

Yeah, getting all your links in sitemap doesn't any negative impact and could help too on indexing the rest of your site. But with huge number, you have to organize the links and categories well so it will be effective..

 

It's a good idea to have internal links in your site pointing to related sites.

 

I would use priority for each link in the sitemap tough.

 

you can add unlimited links in ur XML site map page there is no prob wait that...

 

I agreed with Sxperm BUT if you don't want to crawl images then it would be not necessary to put in it..I don't have personally experienced on it..I just read it somewhere else..

Yes you can give all links to the sitemap as it doesn't give any negative impact on it. Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found.

 

site maps are important when the links on your site are easy to be tracked by the search engines. if this is not the case donot use them.
