Sitemap Not Accepted by Google

    Dear Friends,

    I have to submit the sitemap for one of my new client site. It seems already some body created the sitemap for that site. So, I deleted that sitemap and upload the new xml generated sitemap to my client server and I submitted the sitemap to google through the webmaster tool. But my new submitted the site map is not yet accepted. But I saw the old sitemap details are in my webmaster tool. Eventhough I deleted that old file. In this case, How I will delete that old sitemap details from my webmaster tool?

    ..what u mean not accepted...it usually takes couple of minutes..

    Yes I submitted the sitemap before 4 days. But, yet that is not accepted by Google. I don't know the reason. I checked XML file also. It doesn't contains any bugs.

    it asks for site verification, you must make sure that you verify it

    first of all verify your site in Google webmaster then generate a valid site map then submit it. if its still have issue go to Google webmaster forum.

    If you let us know the url of your sitemap maybe we could help?

    Chances are the sitemap is malformed.

    What error message(s) are you getting in Google Webmaster Tools?
