sitemap.html or sitemap.xml?

    Like I said a simple html page with links to your pages and descriptions of every page works great. I link to that page sitewide ....

    All pages are indexed without any problem...

    i am using .html for my site now and .xml for google...

    but when i added my site in google submitting the my sitemap.xml it had no confirmation and still right now my subpages are not indexed by google...:confused:

    is it normal to have no confirmation after you submit?...

    how long does it take for google to index your whole site?...
