I have a couple questions. First, how do I know if I have a sitemap, does it say somewhere? I have a Wordpress site, so is it automatically built-in? Is it good for getting ranked higher or for getting a higher PR? And lastly, how would I implement one if I don't have it?

Hiya, A sitemap is very useful! It shows search engines bots where pages are on your site making it easier for them to put your site on search engines. On a wordpress site it is very easy, just go to the plugins section and search "site map" and then get one of the addons , they will update the sitemap whenever you tell it to , and every time there is a new blog post it will update the blog post and tell the search engines "hey come check out the site , its got new content"

Ahhh alright, thanks a lot! Is it an actual page, or is it something that works in the "back end"?

Its more of a background file. it is usually .xml format , You can go to www[dot]yoursite[dot]com/sitemap.xml and oyu'd just see a page of links. it is just something for search engines to scan through and say, oooo new pages , new content we'll put that on our search engine

It is a back end xml file which allows robot to understand what are all the pages available in the site and what is the link between each page so that it can crawl better

What sitemap referring to .HTML or .XML? Anyway, to know if you have this you simply type your URL/sitemap.xml or /sitemap.html

You can check if you have a sitemap or not by typing www.example.com/sitemap.xml, if you have a sitemap in the xml format it will show otherwise you need to create a sitemap in this format and uploaded in the root directory.
