    the comment on the one google sitempa generator there is pretty rough. It says it doesn't even generate the right URLs

    has it worked for you?

    Try joomap...

    not sure on the link but it's not hard to find.

    Dynamic sitemap as well as dynamic submissions to google. Works like a champ so far.

    I used that 'Google Sitemap Generator', too, and it didn't generate a sitemap containing ANY URLs. What rubbish.

    Anyway, am using Joomap now and it works a treat - thanks guys!

    I've just installed joomap too - thanks to this thread :)

    I've made a small addition to the file joomap.google.php

    I've added
    header('Content-type: text/xml;');
    Code (markup):
    at line 86 (ie first line in the function JoomapGoogle::printTree. This means that when I view the output I get formatted xml not raw text.

    Using it on three different sites with OpenSEF, not sure about 404. Works fine.

    OpenSEF now has the ability to create a Google sitemap built right in. Pretty slick! :)

    Yea, I just use the sitemap generator that is built right into Open SEF. It creates sitemaps with a few invalid links here and there, but it still works pretty nicely....

    joommap is a great solution for joomla sites but it's not useful if you have more than 1000 content pages on your site. it will give timeout error. joommap is generating sitemap dynamicly. there is no cache function for it

    I use joomla 1.5 and xml-sitemaps.com. I couldn't find any decent sitemap extensions compatible with my configuration.
