    I want to build a sitemap for an SMF forum but i don't want to use the mod for it. (the mod requires you make changes to your theme). How can i do this? i want to sitemap all my boards, sub-boards.

    another question: can i use the mod: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=755
    and maybe just not provide a link to it in my forum, only using it for the google xml link?

    you can use google sitemap generator, or any other (free or commercial) sitemap generator

    try this one http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

    I have used it already. I think it is limited to 5.000 links. not sure the limit

    i've decided to creat the XML file on my own (without a generator)...google has a good tutorial on how to do this.

    @Ninjasoft

    yes. upload to root and call it in google webmaster tools

    @cscott5288

    You can do it manually. But with a nice search, you find some that will do it for you ;)

    Unless you have a small web. in that case go ahead :)
