    Hello!

I'm getting Sitemap error. I generally submit sitemap generated by www dot xml-sitemaps dot com . But from the last 3 days, it is showing the same error message again and again even I freshly submit a new one.

    The error is reported as

    Network unreachable: robots.txt unreachable
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

I use that site also and it is ussually reliable. I would just let it hang out for awhile and try again tomorrow. Good Luck!

I have experienced this also. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is google doing something as we speak and sitemap updates not available?

I am having the same issue with one of my blogs, though not with another site. I resubmitted the sitemap three times today with this error.
I wonder if this is a hosting issue. But then again, I can browse directly to my sitemap and download it.
Has anyone figured out why this happens yet?

Well, I did some more research. No one seems to know how to fix this. I did find this blog post here that seems to suggest it is with your hosting provider.
I guess it is time to move the site.
I have lost all my hits from Google since I first noticed it.
