SiteHoppin - the new search engine that let's you "hop" to new interesting sites.

Hi All,

We are working on this new search engine that lets you "hop" to new interesting sites. The site is currently public beta, meaning we are about 50% finished, but you can check it out and tell us what you think.

looks like a beer site or something related to that.

 

I agree with obay - the beer motif is overwhelming. And it's not obvious how to use the site.

 

you have any better suggestions other than beer?

 

simple, and basic.

He he, I found my way fine arond the site and submitted two sites.

 

If you want a hopping motif - what about kangaroos or rabbits? - but don't overdo it - getting the conecpt of hopping from site to site is more important

We already made some design changes thanks to all your suggestions.

As for kangaroo, that might be a good idea. We have been using kangaroo already if you hover over the button. (In firefox...)

Any other honest suggestions appreciated.

 

The top menu is a lot easier to use - even though I had no problems personally myself before. Though I see it's still beer bottles... it could be Carling... or if you wanted to go to spirits, then Sambuca

Good site though. I can see search engines having a field-day crawling the pages as they're SE friendly.

 

Oh I didn't know Sambuca was a drink! LOL...we will be changing to something similar. maybe Vodka bottle might work better?

 

this is a good site to keep an eye on. personally i'm w/ some of the previous posters as far as keeping it simple -- maybe using your kangaroo a bit more? but not over the top? it's a thought....
