Why don't you choose a personal webhost that can suit your custom hosting needs more. The hosts you are talking about deliver only standard services. Large hosts usually regard you as a "number" instead of a person.
About six times in the last 2-3 weeks, the site will be down and email unavailable. The periods of time are usually in the 30-60 minute range.
