Site with spyware

Just had a coop link on my site:

    text: Away Messages
    Link: http://www.aimawaymessages.com/?cid=3

Once you get there you are blasted with a prompt saying you must install some program to view the site. The prompt is from mediatickets.net, a well known spyware network.

I have a buddy icons site and a link like this can easily make my visitors click on it and get infected. Is there some way I can avoid having that link showing up on my site?

    Thanks

When I loaded that page I got some type of "pop up" advertisement that changes when you refresh the page but no prompt about a download.

It looks like the prompt has been removed.
