Can anyone tell me the url of a few sites, which gives "alert message" when closed. For example the message as "Are you sure you want to navigate away the website". It is very urgent for me

that is called as exit popup, which are shown when user tries to close the window.

search in google and you shall get ample of ready scripts for it.

I think they are asking for url's of sites that use the script, not for the script itself. I have no respect for any site that uses that script or anything similar.... it is purely an annoyance and I will not visit a site twice that uses it....

I can't help either, because when I encounter a site like that I delete it from my bookmarks, clear it from my cache, destroy the brain cells that hold that url and never return.

There are some legitimate uses for giving an "Okay" or "Cancel" message upon tab/window close. An example would be Freenode's webchat (I forgot what software they use), but when you close out the tab while you still have an active connection, it will ask you if you are sure you want to close. Other sites that try to get you to stay longer give that use of JavaScript a bad name.
