It looks like most of the pages are supplemental. Are you sure the api count is 40.2k?

I have checked using the google api in backlink tracker tool in DP. If that tool is showing more than 40k and also the home page PR is 4 and the ads running are 5, what other factor is there to make the weight so low. This AWS site uses a ASM2 script. Could that be a problem ?

I don't think so. When did you add your url to the backlink tracker in DP. It only updates the PR & page count if backlinks change - my understanding is that it does change the page count every day it is run.

I added it yesterday in the backlink tracker. So the information is quite recent. To make sure the calculation is fresh, I deleted the url and added it again in the backlink tracker tool. It is still showing more than 40000 pages indexed. And about the results being supplemental pages, I have another site showing supplemental pages in google results but is working fine with coop weight.

Supplemental results are killing the weight. I also have some sites like that one that get a tiny weight.

Similar problem, according to the api the number of pages on my PR6 site is 22600, however my weight has dropped from approx 20k to 4996.

My PR 5 site with only 90 pages has a weight of 10746.....

Maybe there are different API calls for page count and non-supplemental page count. KWT might be showing the first whilst coop uses the second.

Either way, your weight can't be wrong. AWS are notorious for being supplemental (Can you justify its existence in the index? Unless you added significant value, I don't think so!) so it all seems correct to me.

Can anyone with good knowledge of google api confirm that there is a way to find supplemental and non supplemental pages in a website ? It will be a great help.

A large portion of it is however there is a ton of original content related to the products in the form of reviews and ratings from people who have bought or know the products.

The PR5 site that now has more weight than the PR6 site is more a straight AWS site with very little additional content so it just doesn't make any sense.
I'm thinking seriously of getting out of this internet marketing....it's too bloody frustrating, too time comsuming and when it does start looking good it can all fall to peices overnight  .

When you talk about supplemental results, what do you mean? I have 10k pages when doing site: in google but using the DP backlink tracker thingy I have only 650 pages in google. (Is that teh tool you are refering to when talking about the api?)

Yes, we are talking of that tool only. But We are talking of one step further. We are seeing that although the tool is showing more than 40000 pages indexed, the weight being generated is very low (almost negligible) for a PR 4 site. That could mean that coop weight is being calculated on a specialized google api query which does not include the supplemental results.

The way I see it is supplemental results are never supposed to count for anything. If they do then that is a glitch. Just don't touch anything and benefit from it as long as it lasts!!

AWS sites in the last month have been slapped very fiercely by Google. I lost over 100k in weight, but I knew it was coming. Nothing to complain about. Solution is to reuse the domains with new content and retire the AWS crap.

Rohit, what you're seeing is the way it is supposed to be.
