Site update date in Google searcg results

    Can anyone explain why there is a date of when a site has been indexed next to some pages in search results while other pages don't have that?

    It's been crawled/indexed recently. That date is the last date of crawling/indexing.

    Sites that haven't been don't have that.

    No, there are many sites that are existing for years, but don't have a crwaling date.
