I never submitted my new site under construction to Google, no links to it either but Google somehow indexed and cached it. It was cached for two weeks and now, no results. Very wierd. Google says "do not submit your site under construction" And i didn't!! What is that? Looks like they banned the domain before launch

Once your site is back up, it will be recrawled and show up in the SERPS. Happens all of the time.

Google sucks. Wonder when they might implode? Soon I hope. Anything I can do to help them along just let me know.

Use "Noindex, Nofollow" attribute on the header of your site..

Use robots.txt file and add the pages there and Google will not visit your site anymore until you turn to old settings.

Google is very quick these days.

My wordpress post was indexed in 1 minute (very quick for web crawler)

Buddy, please don't add no follow in home page or robots.txt coz once you finish the site it ll take time to index.

    Be careful with that.

As i know use nofollow attribute or robots.txt to prevent SE to cache the site when its under construction.

If its new website then its not a big problem as you up your website its crawl again and you see your old result as it is.

Don't forget you can use Google Webmaster tools to control what the crawler does with your site.
