site transfer

    if I purchase a domain name how do i get it transfered to u?
    what info do I have to give the seller?

    I currently have a godaddy account but the seller manages the domain with someoen else

    I think godaddy doesn't allow you to transfer domains until you are the owner of them for at least 60 days.

    Many (most/all?) domain registrars have a feature that allows you to "push" a domain to another account with the same registrar. This is not the same as a transfer to a different registrar.

    For example, yesterday I bought a domain from someone who had it registered at namecheap.com. I created a free account at namecheap and he "pushed" the domain to it. At my convenience I can transfer it to my usual registrar.
