And you are an expert on this? Why don't you only say something that you know instead of guessing about it?

Read this for the solutions on your next step to solve this:

You guys are silly telling him it's just a paragraph and that he can't do anything about it. I 100% guarantee that if this was your site you would be really ticked off.

    Thanks labrocca.

I found my answer elsewhere in an answer summed up:
All text written by you is copyright and owned by you, whether you register it or not. I sent the guy an email and am awaiting a response.

Then you didn't read my link. YOU SHOULD NEVER CONTACT THE INFRINGER. This just gives them a heads up. You should begin getting them banned with google first.

I contacted him because I need it removed immediately. I also am in touch with the merchant and they are aware of his actions.

Ask him to change the content, or else you:

Contact any advertisers he uses about the situation (adsense, fast click etc)
    Contact his webhost
Contact the company he's affiliating to

Though don't tell him that is what you'll do. Try not to get mad about it, be calm and professional.

Here is what you can do.

    1. File a complaint with google (they have some specific DMCA format)
    2. Information the host and ask him to take his site DOWN. Give sufficient proofs
    3. Call him up. If his number is not correct, information his registrar, these days you cannot have incorrect phone numbers on your whois record.

    All 3 actually works.

    Provide enough proofs everywhere.

Google doen't ban directory. It informs the the person that it has received following complaint. Reply back saying that you are now NO MORE has any copyright infringements. Thats it. If he doesn't reply, then google bans.

All these sites are hot linking medi-vet.com content.
There really isn't much unique contentent that I see, so it can't be copyrighted. except by medi-vet.com. The design is basically identical
I wouldn't notify google since they may ban site that contacts them first, for being spam.
