    hi,
    found a tool online ages ago that would tell you of some rankings that a url ranked for in google (it wasn't all rankings, just ones it had already found).

    anyone know what it was? i've lost the url

    I never heard about a tool or even a website/service that will show you where a website ranked before unless it's a ranking monitor/checker for a specific website (YOURS.com)..?
    If this is the case go with WebCEO.com it's a good software and it's even free to use.

    No. Its not that. I think they bought logs from isps and just extracted all the serps that people had viewed.

    Oops I thnk I missed something earier, I just re read your question.

    I think google webmasters sitemap tools will tell you which keyword are you ranking on which position(authentication required).
