Hi all - Two sites, one went live early November, not ranking in google for all but lesser keywords, ranking in MSN. Other site, new, ranking page 1 for MSN for primary keyword. Nothing yet on google. Just started using LinksManager for this newer site. My site has tanked on MSN. Now, I know MSN is volatile. Reading back on the March, 2004 threads re: link partner and linksmanager, some indicated some skepticism re: these programs (indeed, all link exchange programs) and google. Bringing it up to today, have any felt and ill effects by using LinksManager or similar programs? Also, with LinksManager, one adds the link to one's site then goes after the reciprocal link; the turn around, if at all, is considerably long, I am gathering. Anyone have any data points on whether adding, say, 10 outgoing links a day has any ill effects (sandbox tripping, other filters)? So far, I have almost entirely outgoing links from this recip exchange, since no one has yet exchanged. I also have entries in directories and a few recips from direct contact. But in the main, my links pages are being generated from LinksManager. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Paul
when i do a lot reciprical links my rankings in msn appear and reappear, I'm not sure if its the new links or the new pages, but whatever it is it usually stabilizes in a week or so
Thanks, Ferret77. Do you or anyone have any thoughts about a prudent rate of link addition, to avoid tripping filters? With LinksManager, it is quite easy to find relevant link partner sites - you add them to your site, and wait for a recip. If I wanted, I could add 100's of outgoing links in a day, then wait for recips. But I don't know if adding those sites should be done as slowly and as cautiously as when getting inbound links. Any thoughts?
