Hi, I am trying to advertise a site that is suspended on google adwords. My salesman has come up with the idea of building a mini site with a link to the suspended site. Would google adwords allow this. I cant ask him to do it if he would lose his adwords account it would cripple him. Is there any way around advertising a suspended site please?
Unless the suspended site is brought into compliance with Google policies any AdWords account that can be related to that site will risk suspension. I suggest fixing the site that was suspended. If the site is not owned by you I would suggest not using AdWords to get traffic to that site. I worked on the AdWords Support Team for 2 years and it has been my experience, that advertisers who try to get around the policies do not usually succeed. You may not agree with all the policies but it has been my experience that sites that comply with Google policies tend to be more successful.
I understood your question but having worked there I really believe trying to get around a suspension usually is only a temporary solution. Google tends to be very good at figuring these things out. You might be able to hide your relationship to the suspended account for a while, but eventually any account linked to a suspended account in any way will be suspended. I really would suggest trying to call the AdWords support line and seeing what you can do to get the suspension lifted so you do not have to worry about it in the future. I understand that may not be what you want to hear but I try to respect Googles policies as I make my living with their product and I believe there is no real competition for Google AdWords, but best of luck to you.
