Site Selling University Link Pages-- will Google react?

I wanted to get everyone's opinion on what google will do about this site that sells edu pages from major universities, and other sites like it.

I bought one for my adsense site today, am anxious to see the results. I read on seomoz that Google has yet to lower the weight of edu links, even though a lot of selling of pages and links on universities sites has been going on.
Does anyone know more about this?

I'm sure google will catch on to this one quickly. Seems like it's not such a good idea to buy links like this when you know that if google finds out, you will probably be penalized.

Yes, but google can't go each and every site, but need to develop way to do so.
Other than university link page, there are university content page with affiliate links. They are doing very well in SERP. Other than Google, University it self need to careful about content of their sites. All university has guideline for student about content, but most don't do police job, so student misuse.

True, google can't know about and go after every possible site like this, but if they do see it you know they will have a problem with it.

Better to stay clean and not take the chance. While they might not catch you, what if they do?

 

it's good idea but when google catch you, it's possible to be banned from google

 

dont worry about it, google typically will never handpick sites to take action against,, unless if they are using black hat MFA tricks
