Site Sections in google serps

I was wondering if any of you guru's could help explain how to rectify my problem. In the past when I would search for my domain, it would should my site first and then underneath the first serp listing, it would show the various sections of my site.

For example if you search for webmasterworld in google you get this:

    [pre]
WebmasterWorld News and Discussion for the Web Professional
Brett Tabke hosts professional webmaster and search engine promotion discussions.
    www.webmasterworld.com/ - Similar pages
    Search News - http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/
    The Google World - http://www.webmasterworld.com/category30.htm
    AdSense - http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum89/
    AdWords - http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum81/
    More results from www.webmasterworld.com »
    [/pre]

Now when I do a search for my site name, it shows my site name and directly under that a entry for my forums as the first two results instead of the various categories of my site.

My question is how do these categories get added? And is it something I need to do or is it done manually by Google? I also notice that digitalpoint is not broken down into different sections either.

The links are provided by google for sites which it thinks important. The sites carry more weightage in G's rankings.

I think the links are added automatically.

As Ivan says, that's been happening for a while. It seems to happen for sites that are regarded as being an authority for that serach term and registered trademarks.

this is what i explained 100s of time to my nichewatch tool users when they see multiple listings (sometime more than 5 in row) of same website for same keyword.

You must know that serp has traditional restriction of displaying 10 results by default but number of relevant pages for every keyword are increasing every minute so they have to sort out some way to provide user with as much as possible information on the first page.So Google has now algo to find relevant and more authority webpages of any site and list them for users.

This has greatly benefitted websites which rank 1 for any keyword.
