Is it possible for a site to have a PR4 in 7 days. I was amazed to see this happen. I recently created an app and hosted in it on SourceForge so anyone can download and use it for free. BTW the software has nothing to do with SEO. Its a small windows app. Anyway it has been only 7 days since I hosted the app on sourceforge. Today I went to my project page to see how many people have downloaded my app. Then I saw my page rank is now 4. How is that possible, its been only 7 days. SourceForge projects get a sub domain. For example if you name you app DigitalPoint. You can get a subdomain like this : http://sourceforge.net/projects/digitalpoint/. and Here you can host your project, and http://digitalpoint.sourceforge.net/ and here is your website for your project. If some one can explain that, it will help me understand how PR really works. Thanks.
PR is going to be mad! when i see some websites are getting more visitors by the time , bagerank is going down , and more that 85% of its visitors are from google , how is it possible ! congratulations for you .
congrats man. its due to the new update(google penguin) or your domain is an old/aged domain. but you know with this update new site rank PR4 within 7 days, out there you'll find some site 7years old with PR4 and loose it's ranking TO PR0. that's what google update is all about. they just swap The PR of websites. Those with high PR will now get low PR AND those with low PR get high PR
