Site Review - Feedback Most Appreciated

I have been doing the SEO on this site myself for the last couple of years. Any tips or feedback would be most appreciated.

Yea. It is quite busy. I have tried to use the home page to capture searches for the major keywords then optimised all the other pages for specific keywords.

Just wondering if I have made any major blunders :-(

 

good design but i fell no of links on the main page are excessive

Honestly, looks so generic I don't even care to read about what they do. Add some style, get out those compressed generic images, and work on freshening it up. I'd love to read more but my attention span wanes when I'm surrounded by small text everywhere.

I have been looking at some of the other sites here for review and some of them look great. Really fresh. Loved the acquarium one. I certainly need to improve the graphic look of my site.

But....interested in feedback here.

I don't build sites. A friend does that for me. I have just focussed on on-site SEO and someone else does the off-site SEO for me. Much as I love it, I have a 120 hr/week job + doing SEO and I need to feed a big family

My focus with the on-site SEO has been to:

1. Optimise all the key services pages
2. Really leverage the homepage that does well in natural search. Hence lots of internal links from there.
3. Add content, and more and more relevant content.

So far it has worked. (In that for most of the important keywords the sites ranks high in natural search) And many people have commented that the site is really good (customers) in terms of content. I guess because it is a B2B site, I have assumed that content; that works, is probably more important that how it looks. But maybe I need to review that and get a better balance?

Not specifically about my site, but interested in views generally on the importance of content v look. The obvious answer I guess, is to have the right balance of both (which I think I don't).

Can you get the right look, clean, fresh, nice graphics and still get sufficient content on the page for good SEO results?

Probably a dumb question huh? But what do you think?

I think the logo could be better.

 

Yea, I know what you mean. Sadly that is the company logo, and has been for over 10 years. They may change it / update it in time.
