Well, I'm kindof a newbie as far as site design. right now i'm just using xsitepro to make my sites and of course these are made thinkin in adsense placement. I recently changed the site a bit but I still think i could improve it more. I still have a little glitches here and there to fix. I don't wan't it to look to spammy, I right original articles and do like writing about men skin care, but of course i want to make some revenue with the adsense anyone can tell me what i should improve as far as design and ad placement? Men Skin Care Tips thanks for all the help and sorry for any design errors and such, I'm here to learn
Not bad at all. My only suggestion is that you could make the left hand images as big as a link "block", so that each image would be exactly on the left of each link. Nice work, thou...
nice job but the articles such as http://www.menskincaretips.com/Submit_Your_Pic.html don;t display properly on firefox
It looks nice. The only thing I would say is that the banner at the top takes up quite a lot of space, so the content starts quite a way down the page. But it is aesthetically pleasing, and not too cluttered. Also, your article on "Shaving Private Ryan" made me laugh. Good work.
Great site you have there. You might want to consider changing the AdSense Title link to "Blue" colour instead of "orange" for consistency. I like the way you put your AdSense on the main page. Nice blending!
I thought it looked really great, awesome adsense blending. The only thing I would change is to make your logo a link to the home page. Although I usually don't click on a site's logo, alot of surfers do so that they can get back to the home page.
Yes, the blending is actually amazing. Although, this page was a bit sketchy. http://www.menskincaretips.com/Pubic_Shaving_Tips.html
There is one thing that really annoys me, apart from men shaving their knackers! Shouldn't it say - 'MenS Skincare Tips' Or something like - Mens Skincare - Hints & Tips Skincare for Men Or .... Men - Skin Care - Advice Sorry to criticise, but there is something wrong with the heading as it stands. ... bejeebus, when did skin & care join up as a whole word anyway?
wow, I never really thought I would get such positive answers Eskarina: Yeah I think Men's or Mens looks and is better but unfortunatly my partner choose the domain and made is men skin care tips At first it was annoying but I got used to it. I would like to use Mens Skin Care Tips as the title but I wonder if that will confuse the readers with the actual domain name. Thanks to everybody for the complements on the blending and the Shaving Private Ryan article Do you guys think I should make the banner shorter? Right now it's about 250px in height. And does anyone have any tips as far as ad placement on article pages? Thanks once again to all, you have helped me very much
The site looks good. I'd suggest you shoud add more content on the home page. The layout looks more like a blog but its good. I think you should add more content to the home page and keep it regularly updated.
utunes: I think the blog wasn't working, but both site and blog should be working now rosiee007: thanks the tip on more content on main page
I think you might want to look at the crappy code xsitepro generates and see how this will effect your rankings in the search engines later on down the road. xsitepro was made for adsense crap site builders
Yeah I'm not liking xsitepro to much either, but I don't know much about making sites and xsitepro is the best thing for me right now. I'm trying to learn dreamweaver so I can make my sites there after thanks for the advice Sem-Advance
No problems...we all have to start somewhere on our path, I just dont want to see anyone hurt from some application like that...
Hi TPI I like the size of the banner. Also, as Rosie suggested, perhaps more content on the homepage(although I guess that will naturally come in time). Also, if possible, still try to integrate as many "Mens Skincare Tips" headings or phrases as you think fitting. I'm certainly no seo expert but I can't imagine that it is going to confuse the visitor, and should be beneficial for your search engine results. Most users looking for those products are going to use the search term - mens skincare etc. Not "men skincare". It's just not good grammar (I'm not a grammar expert either) Speaking from personal preference, if I was going to buy a cosmetic product online and had two sites to choose from, I'd buy from the website that looked more professional. i.e better grammar
Eskarina: I agree with you. I was a bit afraid of using Mens skin care and confusing it with the domain name, but your advice helps alot Your reason for doing so are also very true, having the right grammer is helpful - I'll make the corrections and keep on adding more content to the site and home Thank you very much for the help
