I am about to embark on a site redesign for a 5 month old website. The site has been growing in popularity month on month and has seen organic traffic from google increase steadily over the same period. When I launched the site I didn't have a website designer on board, so used a template from one of those crappy website template sites. As a result the site looks poor and clunky and fails to provide a positive user experience. Now that the website is revenue generating, i can afford to put some resources behind getting it redeveloped. Can some DP members offer any advice on how best to redesign the site so that I don't lose ranking for any of my keywords. I plan on keeping the structure of the site the same, witht he same URL's so shouldn't need any redirects. The copy may change, but more likely I will add to the existing copy that I have. The linking structure is the one area that will probably change the most. is there anything i need to be aware of before i start? Any hints, tips and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
Well all should be fine if the; 1. Page names/ site structure stays the same 2. Page TITLEs stay the same 3. Content stays the same (with additions) Do explain this more -
That shouldn't be a big issue... so given what U have put to this point, I can't see any major worries really. :0)
I think it is ok to change the title if the site adds another targetted keywords. But old keywords within the title are still there.
