I have redesigned my site Petarticledirectory.com. I had let it sit idle for a while and had a pr of 2/3. I upgraded the cms it was running on and did a site redesign to bring the code up to date and make it more sef.

Now i'm greyed out and don't come up in any keyword searches....also Lots of old pages are listed that don't exist anymore.

Any ideas as to what I should do to get my site re-indexed?

How about few good links? Otherwise, it will still get reindexed and return its rankings, but it will take some time...

However, I think that you might have got some penalty as even the home page is not indexed now...

Have you redesigned your whole website or just a sub directory/domain ?

However, you should redirect your old pages / urls to the new ones using 301 redirection in your .htaccess file ;)

Depending on what all you changed, you might need to setup a 301 redirect. And at the very least you should be submitting a sitemap to your google webmaster tools.

Also, if your site is new - which is less then 1 year old - google might take a few weeks - 6 or 8 weeks to get everything straight. If you have a mature aged site, google might get everything fixed up in a matter of days - just a couple of weeks.

Are you using Webmaster Tools and an XML sitemap? What about a robots.txt file?

I thinks you should have to built quality links through OFF Page Submission for your site.
