Site Reconsiderations - any sucess?

Has anyone had any luck getting a site re-indexed after a reconsideration request?

I've had the warnings disappear from WMC, but the sites don't get re indexed.

Has anyone found a way to get reindexed effectively? Does changing IP's or site platforms make a difference?

It is depends on how was your site banned. I have seen rarely success for many harden case such as hidden text, cloaking or any black hat stuff made by intention.

My friends site had been penalized due to content scraped. He had applied for re-consideration request and his site had being back 3 months after the first request sent. This is just for help illustrate and you cannot use this time frame for a standard. Each request will be manual handled by Google staff so it is hard to predict an exact time frame anyway.

After how much time your site is re-indexed by Google?

I was successful twice but it was a PR penalty so that might be a bit easier rather than your site not getting indexed.
