Site Re-Design, need tips and feedback what to change.

I'm signing the contract today with a prominent design company to revamp my site. I'd like this one to be as close as possible to perfect and would like some feedback on things I should change\include that are not currently on my site.

    My site is at http://x10hosting.com

Please ignore the text link ads at the top and the random button towards the bottom ;) They will not be included on the new site.

    Best Regards!
    Corey

Small world, I used to have an account over there to check things out. I think my screen name is still in the forums.

Scrape the background blue, keep the logo and without looking at the ads.... actually your site looks good. Such a waste you need to revamp :) . I have seen many a worse design than this.

Thanks for the feedback ddave! We are going to go with a lighter color scheme this time around and get rid of all ads on the main page of the site. My goal is to make it more user friendly and to display more information in an easier to read way.

Apart from a slightly chaotic impression below, this site is the best I've seen in this forum so far. I would tweak this design rather than start over (depending on client-load). But hey, budget is budget.

I think you should simplify your message. There is just too much going on in the current page imo.. Simplify everything to make if quick and easy to understand and identify.

    Thank you!

I'll see how much text I can cut out in the next version.

I like the colours. I noticed with your Support page, in IE6 the Report Abuse box gets bumped down from the first two boxes. Looks fine in Firefox though. The only minor adjustment I'd recommend is keeping the line of text links that includes "Canadian Web Hosting" in line with the rest of the page content, not over to the left as with the first link. Congrats!
