Site ranks lower with description and title.

I have a site, i took it down for a month or so.. it was still indexed.. but had no description and title was just a keyword phrase.. it then ranked #8 - now site is up and has its title and description but ranks #18 - am i doing the meta tags wrong?

2. What were the meta and Title before?
3. Have you changed something except meta and Title?

Title is ok. But why didn't you enter the description? It is very necessary. Make a short, brief and unique meta description that should cover your targeted keyword(s) too.

 

Have you considered the fact that having your site down for a month negatively impacted the ranking and you are over thinking this? If your site was down for a month be happy you are still ranking #18.
