Dear DP-Members, Thanks for providing your valuable time to this thread. I ve faced some critical problems, On 2nd-March morning I notice that all my major keywords fall from 1st page of Google to 7th page(My site is in signature). At that time I assume that it should be normal update and hope my keywords will get back their previous position soon. But it's about more than one week they still at 60 to 70 positions. I read somewhere about content form updation Google algorithm. So I change my site content completely. But still no effect. Please feed your suggestion so that I can consider. NOTE: Every suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks. Funzone
You will have to do more work on your site like directory submission,Article submission,Forum posting, blog commenting and also do on page optimization.Secondly,Collect quality backlinks-not just backlink that will really help to rank your site.
It is only one week, sometimes it will take 3-4 weeks to come back on its original position. It is going to be normal in seo these days. Let me know what was the real position of your site when it reached on first page. Was it magical? i.e from 6 or 7 page to page 1?
Search Engine Optimization works by sending out a spider to fetch as many documents as possible. Another program, called an indexer, then reads these documents and creates an index based on the words contained in each document.
Some times it's happen with every site.. I have been observing some sites for a long time..just keep working on the link building ...soon your keywords will be ranked. Are all keywords lost the rankings or a few ?
My guess is you've been hit by the G's latest algo update that was designed to get rid of the shallow-content sites aka content farms and scrapers. Such a huge drop suggest that you've triggered some sort of filter. Have you been building links aggressively lately? Is your content unique? Is it just your site or have the top 10 listings for your keywords changed completely? Look at the sites that are still ranking good and maybe you'll find whatever it is they have that your site lacks.
you mean you've done a major change in your web pages content? well in that case, yourw old rankings might have shacked down since SE spiders will have to re-cache and re-indexed them.. Then you'll have to get new links pointing to your site to make it move back to it's previous rankings *hopefully
Wait for 2-3 weeks and then decide whether Google has penalized your website or not. Have you heard about Google Dance? So don't get panicked. It may happen that temporarily Google ranking has been down. In the mean time don't over do in the linking activities. Just keep on doing your natural linking activities and soon the rank can be recovered.
If you will get the ban from the Google then check your webmaster account first, may it will help you..
this is what we call google dance. your site will jump back to many pages. thats normal. just build links normal like before, and your site shall come back stronger than ever.
You mostly got your answers. If you have unique content on your website, just wait a few weeks and monitor your website's progress. During that time you can continue to build links and hopefully ranking will improve...
For me, it is going up and down for the past week. One day I am out of the top 100 and then I am back to #5 then up and down again....really frustrating.
Its happening with many websites. This is all because of the recent google algorithm update. You need to check your content. I suggest to change it now and make it more relevant to your visitors. Hope it helps.
