    Hello All,

When I see awstats for my websites. Two of the external links shows that my site is being pointed from http://blackhatbootcamp.com/blog/TOPSITES and http://blackhatbootcamp.com/blog/TOPSITE. When I visited blackhatbootcamp. I was not really able to find any direct link from the site to my site. Also I was not able to understand what this blackhatbootcamp site is all about. Will it be of concern to me. Can anyone help me here.

There's a panel in BIG RED LETTERS on the blog that says
"ATTENTION: Several people have commented that they received visitors from this blog, but they do not know how or why. Here's why: this blog gets a lot of traffic and many visitors exit by way of the Alexa random links in the sidebar. It's that simple."

That's referrer spam and you need to block the IP addresses of that blackhatbootcamp.com thing. Don't you get it from the domain name? It has to be some spammer targeting many websites to get traffic. You can find more info here in this article and the IP addresses that should be banned: http://webmasters.sharecommons.com/2010/01/30/referrer-spam-and-referrer-spoofing/
If you are experiencing this traffic on your wordpress blog (I'm getting this referrer spam on two of my blogs), I would suggest you to update your blog software to the latest version. Be warned, this may be referrer spoofing to gain unauthorized access to the admin panel.

That is the "joke of the year". It is just an effort to save their own ass. They know what they are doing and they are guilty of referrer spam. period. They are blocked from all of my sites using .htaccess!
