Hi, I think one of my sites has been penalized but I don't know why. It appeared on page 9 for a certain keyword, now it is no where to be found. It's not great but I just started working on it. Does anyone know where to enquire to Google regarding this? Thanks.
i don't think u should worry...sometimes it goes up and down....and u don't see it for a couple of days than it'll come back up........ have u done anything to your website...that makes google want to ban your website...and do u have a PR on or is it gray on the toolbar??
I did site: and it's there. Thanks gogiants. Thanks for the consoling coments. The home page had some changes in content and that's been undone. Or it could be like fuse-box and ezguy say, Google lost data momentarily. The reason I got worried is that the ranking (for the target keyword) comes from mainly incoming links. This didn't change. But the home page got more graphical content and less text, and I think this accounts for it.
try to search with site:yourdomain.com , if 0 result return , this means your site has been banned . if any result return , your site has NOT been banned from google . if any result return , i suugest you to check your backlinks
Look for the terms "-30 penalty" on google. If your site matches this type of penalty, you better change your domain.
Most common reason: links. Sometimes you lose links that you never knew that you had, then poof you go down a couple pages. Gotta build more quality, stable, links.
hey i think its a SERP drop as a result of competition. You need to workout with your keywords, links, content and other thing.
