This is a crazy question/maybe stupid, but wondered if google gives more creditability to other sites that a person owns in their sitemaps if they own a high ranking site(s).?? ex: if you had a fooo.bar - pr8 and the you started some other sites that had no pr and added them to your sitemaps, would google give those sites a little bit more credit than if jane doe had baar.foo - pr1 and all her other sites. Would it index them faster and give your other sites more credit since you own a higher creditable site?
I think the reason that google give credit to DMOZ or other Human review directory is the websites was reviewed by human that they should be, I say should be not must be,OK. As far as we know their are a brillian website in internet google staff can not check it all, so that they use google bot to check it but their are some genious webmaster that can trick google bot. The best way to prove that website are not spram website is by human reviews. That why google gave the credit to website in their trusted directory.
I'm no expert, but I do have 170 sites with sitemaps submitted to Google. Those sites that have plenty of relevant inbound links do well, those without inbound links do not. I haven't seen any bump from having some well-ranked sites in my Google Sitemaps dashboard, and I exhaustively track the results of submitting sitemaps (daily site: counts, etc.). I'll completely figure out how Google works exactly five minutes before they change it all...
