Site offline for few hours and SERPS affected?

    Hi,

I had a few issues with my server last night and my website was offline for about 12hours. I know that google does visits my site a lot because it usually takes 1-2 days for a new page to be indexed.

Now I am noticing some of my top keywords which I use to be 1-3 position, I have now jumped to page 2-3 of the results page.

Would google reduce my position because my site was offline?

    Thanks
    Aki

It would see the original links as errors whilst the server was offline. It could also be a coincidence, as there seem to be a lot of changes happening at the moment.

Hopefully the positions will come back for you soon. ;-)

It would have to be a big coincidence since the rankings for my keywords have been top positions for months.

I have hundreds of anchored back links to some of them keywords so I am hoping Google will put me back soon!

i think google will reduce your serp for temp. time. but if you did not loose any of backlinks, your serp can come back from one week to one month
