Site not updating via Domain, but updates via IP?

    The title may sound confusing but the problem is even more confusing. It goes a little something like this...

    I have DomainA.Com, the IP address is 12.34.56.789 for example

    When I change files via FTP from ftp.domaina.com and then go to the site, none of the changes are present and clearing the cache doesnt show any changes.

    When I log onto the FTP from the IP address it shows that none of the changes I made from the ftp.domaina.com - If I make the changes on the FTP via IP, then go to the site, the changes are made.

    Is it possible that the Domain isnt updating correctly or something? Ive checked the accounts, folders, etc. Everything is correct...

    quick test,

    ping ftp.domaina.com
    and
    ping domaina.com

    are the ip addresses what you expect?

    Wow...no they arent...

    They are on 2 different IP addresses...

    I assume they may not be updating or working together nicely...

    Nope....My hosting company changed there name lately but kept the same datacenter and nameservers...
