Site not showing up in google????

I was testing a niche site a few weeks back.. build the site and it was fairly seo optomized.. listed the site with several social nets and submitted to all the major SE's... after only a little over a week, the site was ranking on the first page of goole..

then, about two weeks later, I was noticing traffic was slowing down and did a google search and the site was gone? I'm fairly sure I didn't violate any of google's seo policies..

Anyone have any idea as to what could have happened.

When I do a site:mysite.com.. some cached pages show up but that's it.. it's as if the site isn't lited.. even if I do a search for the site itself.. nothing?

That's the weird. What is the niche of your site? I have never encountered something like that in my sites. Why don't contact Google maybe they can help you with your questions.

Not to sound links a jerk but I absolutely love it when someone asks for help figuring out what is happening with their site and google and then they don't even provide the url. Come on now! We aren't mind readers and your site could be the way it is for any number of reasons, without knowing the url we can only guess, and that doesn't do you any good, does it?

I agree with SCLocal. It is better you post your url so we can find out what went wrong with your site. Without a url, we could only generalize things... that may not be good.

The reason I didn't post the url is due to being new here and not wanting the admin and mods thinking i'm trying to put spam a link form this site.. Not a good way to start off with a first post..

I will be glad to post the link..

the site was primarily created to help drive members to a bodybuilding forum.

the site was made with affilaite genie.. I'm also having some issues with little squares in the paragraphs.. Im assuming it's a language issue maybe?

anyway.. thanks for any help anyone can give..

Ok.. I guess I was correct.. I'm not allowed to post links or sigs..had to remove the link..

anyone who thinks they may be able to help me from actually viewing the site.. Please pm me and I'll give you the url.

Ok, I received your site url in the PM, and i would have to say that your site is still in the index, confirmed by doing site:yoursite.com in google. The reason for your disappearing from the main results is because google puts new sites in the first few spots for a few days and then new sites go into the sandbox. So it is just part of normal google dance, nothing to worry about, your site is still indexed and the pages are in the google index, no penalty or anything like that.

This is weird. I have had many of my sites rank dropped but not completely removed. you must have done something wrong that you are not aware of.
