If a site is not showing up as a backlink(when it used to), does it mean that it's been banned from passing PR? Thanks.
No, you can tell if a site is banned by doing a site:www.domain.com query in Google. Google does not show all links publicly.
I know that not all links are showed publicly. But in this case, the site and all it's internal pages are not showing up as backlinks. The site is linking to several sites/pages. Before this backlink update, it's pages were being shown as backlinks. Has anyone experienced a loss in PR7 or PR6 backlinks? Could it be that Google is hiding the higher PR backlinks? Thanks.
Some people have been saying that when you now perform a link: request at google, that it is now in fact showing links that are not as heavily weighes. I know it can't be as simple as all that (Can it), but it does seem to be on the right lines. The last update showed a lot of forum backlinks and links that I would have thought were from less relevant sites. I could be wrong about this though.
