Site not indexed???

    Yesterday my site was hacked and a panel was filled with spam keywords and links. I deleted this, but I got a message from Google. It said that because my site was attacked by a 3rd party, my site was taken out of the index. When I fix the problem, they told me o resubmit my site for consideration.

    My site has a PR of 4. Will the PR drop to 0 because the site is not indexed? Please help.

    Google actually sends emails to say you have been removed from their index? I am not doubting you - just ignorant of that fact.

    Yes, I got a message in my webmaster tools. This is so upsetting.... I'm removed and it's not my fault.

    What if I'm back in the index before the next update? Will my PR still be 0?

    if it gets re indexed before the next update (which should be within the next couple weeks) then you should not be at N/A but your pr will not be the same as it was before unless you still have solid seo working on your website.

    You might want to figure out how your site was hacked and make sure you prevent it in the future so you don't go down this route again. Just removing the file or link isn't really a fix. If you have not updated, patched, or fixed your script there is a very good chance that you will be facing the same problem in the near future. So I would be a little more concerned about this first, then your page rank/index.
