Hi DT members, Being a newbie webmaster in the field of forums i'm having some problem in one of my Indian friend's forum which i help him set up some three months ago. Yahoo and Bing has indexed it. But Google has not indexed even the homepage. She is using Vanilla forum and I tried the Vanilla forum but still no helpful answers from there. Can you please take a look at the forum www.askindia.info Would really appreciate all the help.
There is no such thing which Google able to find on your XML sitemap..askindia.info/sitemap.xml, please re-generate your website xml sitemap and get verified it from Google.
Hi, Thanks ...did that. but I still get this error messsage: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
Remove or edit your sitemap, setup a webmaster account, ping your website, submit it on digg, delicious and stumbleupon. You site will definitely get crawled asap.
Sitemaps are documents that help search engines like Google to crawl a site, a carefully thought out site doesn't need one to operate. I would verify the domain in Google webmaster tools and then fetch the homepage through the options panel, it generally takes a minute or two and then if there is anything there you are given the chance to tell Google to index the page plus any pages linking from it. I would go down that route and see what comes out of it.
The best option is to generate a free xml sitemap by using an xml sitemap generator which you can find online. There are many freewares online which will help you to generate the xml sitemap. Once the sitemap is generated upload it on the root folder of your domain. Now access your webmaster account and view the sitemap section. The google will detect the sitemap.xml file and it will crawl the pages. It takes minimum of 3 weeks for google to crawl the pages.
plz check your website content & create the xml sitemap. submit it on google webmaster tool...& promote your site on social networking site...
robots.txt is also important and you dont have one. after you create your sitemap, create a txt file and insert this: User-agent: * Sitemap: ***/sitemap.xml
We also have trouble in google sitemap. Our site is online more than 2 years. 9,170 Submitted 1,563 Indexed
I don't know why this particular forum has not been indexed as a similar forum using the same Vanilla platform www.askofficers.com has been indexed within a few weeks
