Hi there, looking at some websites i find that they are not being cached by Google - yet still come up high in the results sometimes. Does anyone know if there is a relationship with sites being cached or not in terms of ranking? sgk
you will need some backlinks google to cache your web site more. you need to focus on the backlink building for more indexed pages
Hi there, sorry - I am still new to this forum - I thought I would get an email notification when an answer comes in. On of the sites is http://www.easyaddin.nl/. sgk
also a simple robots.txt file will help - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots.txt and somehwre there is an excellent post on here - I forget where it is, sorry!
Strange, My site had been alive for well over a year, I slowly got link exchanges and it went from a PR=2 to PR=4, it was ranking for some terms, then it completely dissapeared, It is not even cached anymore at all. But it still has a PR=4 and subpages are the same PR=3 etc... Any ideas here???
Caching and ranking are (almost) completely unrelated. Don't try to relate the two - you'll just be exasperated, and it's a complete waste of time anyway.
Ya, I know but does anyone know why? Any chance of my site coming back to life on Google? (Being Cached) or Any chance of it loosing its PR? It is just very strange.
I have the same problem. We was in the first position over 3 years, and suddenly the site fell to the lastest positions, and in page result, the classic link "CACHED" to watch the cached page in Google doesn´t show. What happend? Anybody?
