Hi guys, I have a picture rating site, that is quite popular now, which has been running for a couple months now (about 4 months) and its not on google AT ALL! Not even if I type in sexyornot.us Nothing will show up! But on MSN its number 1 when I search sexyornot Yahoo, number 4 But google, even if it type in the complete addy, NOTHING. How come? I have submitted it to google. Thanks guys
Wierd - my sites usually get indexed within a week max! But can be a long process, get google sitemaps setup..
I know, I dont get it. Even my blogs get up in a few weeks. Maybe google does not like it...But I have seen WAY worse pages up. frustrating.
I have no clue. (I am quite new to this by the way) Its strange because its up on MANY other search engines. What else can I do?
You don´t have enough quality links. Check the analysis I attached, it·s very brief but helps. Your links that could count for Google just do not count as one of Google´s factors they use for link quality judgement is number of links on that page, your link is placed at. Having your links on hamelinfurniture doesn´t help you as it is just a link farm with thousands of links on that page. If you search for site:hamelinfurniture.com you see it is all in supplemental results and it doesn´t help you at all to link from that site. The same with http://www.wholesaleoilpainting.com/Other.htm and the other likes. It´s still the same spam template, i strongly hope you haven´t paid them a single dime. As for the http://fastcarvids.blogspot.com, I just cannot find that link. The link in DP forum is probably the only one that can help you but it´s too new.
Hey thanks for that!!! Well, I am just in the mits of getting SOME GOOD quality links from VERY popular picture rating and celebrity sites. Would that help? THanks again
As I told to Vizuke already, this is a great type of website for myspace profile. people there would like to show themselves and see what the others say. Create a myspace profile and make myspace friends. Comment on celeb (music, hiphop, metal etc...) related blogs - those that are visited a lot, choose posts you are familiar with the topic and that have just couple of comments on. Your comments mustn´t be only "wow, what a good post", but rather try to add to the topic something that the original post dosn´t cover. Do not fear to be controversial or confrontative. After couple of weeks you build reliability and also your site gets successful.
Kastro, I am also new to this and it does not take back links to get on google. The back links and what not help when people search for your keywords but not so much when you type the exact website phrase in. I have been doing some minor SEO, like I said I am new. When I search my key phrase, a lot of myspace sites come up that have my links before my actual site. Key words is the way to go b/c that is what the consumer is searching, if they know the site they wouldn't be searching.
I mean some of the images can contain hidden text, which is the keyword used in the website, SEOs may do that kind of technique to speed up the rank or the popularity of the website
