    Hello

This is soooo annoying, I have contacted Google three times now via Webmasters, tried to solve this within three months and its the same issue.

My site fit-box.com comes first for "fitbox" and comes no where to be seen for "fit box" - I have done so much seo, so much link backs - its just my youtube videos that come up - if anyone is willing to help me here, willing to pay or just have some free advice on this. Google is really ticking me of

Have you ever tried including "fit box" in the title tag on your innerpages?

start your title with Fit Box and add a H1 tag to this and wait for some days to take effect...

When getting anchor text use fit box not fitbox or fit-box. This will be sure to help you!

After you've got the on page SEO correct you should get some links back to your site with the anchor text "fit box". Google weights the anchor text pretty high in its algorithm.

The term fitbox have only 176,000 competition and most of the competing sites have less incoming links.
But the term, "fit box" is highly competitive with 7,380,000 results. And most of the top results are authority sites like MSN. Your site got 611 incoming links according to Yahoo. You need more back links with "Fit Box" as your anchor text.

Try to change "Boxing Equipment, Punch Bags, Boxing Gloves and more!" to,
Fit Box Boxing Equipment, Punch Bags, Boxing Gloves and more!

Also like someone suggested before start your title with the word Fit Box

Also try to sprinkle the word fit box in the upper half of your page content.

    -Neo

PS: You will soon see that this thread will rank for the word fit box above your site. Blame it on Google for giving excessive weightage for authority sites.

"Fit box" is a far more competitive keyword than "fitbox" and that would explain the reason why your website ranks for "fitbox" and not "fit box". You have that particular keyword in the URL, and for less competitive terms that is more than sufficient to rank, off course with help of few targeted back links.

Ran a back link diagnostic on the website and it shows that the most used anchor text is "Boxing Equipment". Also you have used Fit-Box as your anchor text. If you want to rank for "Fit box", then use it as an anchor text and do some link building. Caution: keep the pace natural.

Also use that particular term on-page, like page title, website content and internal link anchor text.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the replies!

I see everyone is saying link back with "fit box"

Our name is "Fit-Box" the hyphon must be assigned.

Fitbox is number 1 and fit-box and fit box are no where to be seen - you are saying build back links - where? All the boxing blogs and sites including forums do not matter to Google anymore including eZine because of norelfollow crap.

build a bunch of backlinks that have 'fit box' as the anchor. Remember to keep it natural, so 'Fit Boxes' and 'All about the Fit Box' - that kind of thing.

I see. Your title is "Boxing Equipment, Punch Bags, Boxing Gloves by Fit Box".

Try to change it to : "Fit Box - Boxing Equipment, Punch Bags, Boxing Gloves"

try to change your title, heading tags
try to bold out the main keyword on your website and few more optimisations to your website so that it is felt that the keyword you are focusing is the same ...
