    I don't know how you got that without redirection but you don't have to worry because you have to have this anyways. Add the permanent redirection to the www domain to make sure you will always have this and avoid the duplicate content.
    search in the forum for 301 redirects.

    Hopfully with Google new Big Daddy algorithm (introduced soon) this will always be the case
