Whats the opinion on Sitemaps?? How important are they for getting indexed and ranking?? I have tried uploading my sitemap to google several times, and they keep saying there is errors, however they do not say what the errors are and everything looks good to me. any suggestions??
i dont think sitemaps has something to do PR i am also new to this, but for me the reason why i build a sitemap is for site optimization purposes..Having a sitemap, you are actually having a single page that contains links to every page of your site. Think what happens when the bots index this page - they will follow the links on the sitemap and naturally every single page of your site gets indexed by search engines!
Xml Sitemaps are important for getting fast index rate and getting rankings. i can give u suggestion. can u brief about which error is occurred while uploading sitemap.xml on google webmaster tool. or may be your sitemap.xml has some missing syntex error. check it.
