Site lost ranks after redirect - Please advise

    Hi,

I recently i bought a site which was at no1 in Google for main keyword. During the transfer period (for about 2-3 days) I wasn't able to use its domain so I made a redirect using a different domain. Right after that the site lost its rank positions and it's nowhere to be found :(
Is this because of the redirect? If so, will it get its positions back?

    Thanks

probably. specially depending on the new landing site.
you can go to Google webmaster tools and configure it and it is suppose to help not lose it position.

a 301 redirection is the way to move 1 domain to another. But the problem is 301 won't give all PR juice

I just did a site redirect like you did about a year and a half ago. We're just now starting to see improvements in rank.
From what I understand Google sand boxes you when switching to a new domain. Make sure you go into Webmaster Tools
and find all the 404's and do redirects. Then work on incoming links and content. And pray!
