Site loding slowly.

I'm starting to give up to post sometimes too, it's really annoying... :/

 

I just come on later when I think it will be a little better. No idea whats causing it at times.

There have been five undersea cables cut now, according to the news. If your server is serviced by those cables it could be a reason why your site is slow.

Wish they would stop whoever or whatever is cutting those cables.

 

I'm nowhere near the middle east and it's still working slow .... ups and downs ... sometimes it works like charm and then all I get is a bunch of timeouts.

 

It's 1:00 AM Mountain Time and the site seems to be performing fine right now. But I was beginning to think it was my wireless connection. It was extremely slow for me during the day yesterday so I gave up. Maybe it was all the web traffic from Super Fat Tuesday here in the US.

 

I live near the middle east (Pakistan), It's +5 GMT here, and near about 9pm, DP starts to load really really slow. Sometimes it doesn't even opens for me.
I'm using a 2mbps Broadband!

 

The site loads and then disappears. It's been happening to me for a while now... all the time. All other sites are behaving normally.

 

Ya, or it could be because of the ad sharing feature - which loads more queries per page

 

No idea. I was able to get on to digitalpoint.com but not to forums.digitalpoint.com earlier today.

This is crap. This problem is since a long time and still not fixed. I've become really less active here than before. Because most of the time I try to browse, page fails to load and times out. Sometimes I cant get into the site only. Sometimes, pages load so slow that you want to take the pc and throw it in dustbin lol.

 

Now we're blaming it on ocean cables? Gimme a freakin' break!

Every other site I go to works fine. The owner of this site needs to get some bigger servers or something. This slowdown is really becoming annoying!

 

Do I see this issue fixed now...??

 

Well if it takes this long while on this version of vB - dont upgrade to the new one!

The new vB will use more bandwith though, which in turn will slow down the server, I think

 

it's a sign you need to get out from time to time.

dp is loading a little slow, but it still loads..

and what makes you say the new vb will use more bandwidth...lol
did you just pull that out your ass ? The newer vb version "3.7" wont cause more bandwidth usage..

 

Ive used the new vB - it has more features which means more badwith usage, I think.

 

Site is STILL loading very annoyingly slow.

Please fix this guys its been like 3 weeks :/.
