    Hello all,

For some reason one of my blogs RT-Now (www.rt-now.com) is loading very slow. I don't believe it is due to my hosting because my other sites are running fine & I spoke with their help desk. I tried removing a few of my scripts on the page to see if it had any effect... overall it is still moving slow.

I am trying to use StumbleUpon paid ads to promote a new post, but they wont accept the link because it takes longer than 3 seconds to load.

    This is the page http://rt-now.com/2011/02/18/wiz-khalifa-cabin-fever-mixtape/

Any ideas as to what could be slowing my site down so much? BTW the site is the latest version of wordpress.

    rmt99e,

You may want to try using the WP Super Cache (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/) plugin to help improve your load times. It will cache each page so that they are static. Normally wordpress pages are loaded dynamically and has to fetch each module before it is parsed.

This should help you improve your load speeds as well as save on bandwidth.

Wow great suggestion. I have heard of this plugin before, but had never followed through installing...

I just put the plugin in - and set it to "recommended" settings on easy. I can honestly see a huge difference in page loading times...

Are you familiar with any other settings?

Haven't really messed with the plugin for sometime. Hopefully someone else can chime in here.

you have some page elements like image that are loading slow.
you can use firebug plugin to see which parts are loading slow and correct it.
