I'm working on a video streaming site and want to lay the site out like youtube. I think that youtube is pretty much the standard in video steaming site and would like user to already be familiar with the function and layout of my site. Graphics, code and content not like youtube, but positionings are ie: Related videos, video information.

Does anyone think this will be an issue?

I dont think it will be an issue legally, unless you blatantly just download the youtube homepage but like the other guy said it will fail because people dont wanna see copies they want originality

Well the video section will just be a subsection of a larger site.. The audience is already there.. The site is completely non-profit and not meant to make money.. Just a service for people of this organization. So there is really no "Making it" per say... I'm sure after some beta testing and surveys the design may change alittle, but not too much..
