A site I have is kicked out of Google, but it still has PR and Google also see backlinks when searching "site:*********"
    Is this the normal behavior?

    Hi visio.
There are no results in a site:********.com search.

They almost stopped to crawl the site, only crawled two pages now in january. The site has about 15000 pages.

PR and backlinks are lagging indicators. If you can't find any cached pages in google at all, then your site might be out of the index. Have you tried to use Google webmaster tools and submit a sitemap?

Google crawls banned sites so you can't go by that.

    Please post the site url.

    Thanks for helping.
I am not very comfortable by posting the site here, no offense. If its for looking for why it was deindexed, I know why, I had some great "help" from a friend, he putt css hidden text on the front page to raise the adsense click earnings, this must be the reason.

But is it not like that, if you dont find it in a site:****.com search it is not indexed, or have I misunderstand totally?

The deindexing happened in middle november. Sitemap are submitted yes, 8 months ago.

Well that would explain why you don't want to post the url, you've been naughty :) My guess is it's banned but still retains PR and backlinks and will still get visited by the bot, which is normal.

Oh and if you don't find it in site:widgets.com it could mean either A it's not indexed, or B it's banned...if you were fully indexed and then it all dissapeared then it's probably banned.

Yes, its naughty, I see that. The darn thing is that the intention was not naughty though, it was to get better paid ads. Well, I learned the hard way, young and green as I am as a webmaster.

Ok, so its normal to retain the PR and backlinks, I suppose they will disappear after some time.

    Thanks roy77 :)

A little researhc might have turned up a easy-safe approach to targeting adsense.

Fix the hidden text and don't try that stuff. Anything you wouldn't do if search engines did not exist is questionable material.

Thanks visio. I have fixed it and asked for reinclusion, I am hoping for the best.

One interesting thing I discovered though is that the visitors from google clicks very much less on the adsense ads. My ctr has skyrocketed and doubled after loosing all the google visitors.

But let this thread be a warning to others about not putting hidden css on their pages, see and learn what happened to me.
