Hello Everyone, In the of my clients, there is a site having both .php and .html pages. Inner pages of that site are embedded in .php pages but some of those are also .html pages. Will it be adverse effect on a site? What should I do for it? Should I convert all .php pages to .html or something else? Please describe here. Thanks in advance.
The search engines don't care which server-side scripting language you use (.php, .asp, .aspx, etc.) or whether you don't use any at all (.html). They ignore the file extension of your pages. All they care about is when they request a page, that they get back HTML and a HTTP status 200 or if the page has moved a 301/302 so they can rerequest it at a new location. Your page's file extension have no bearing on your rankings. And you can mix and match technologies on the same site without any adverse affects.
you can Block one file try from robots.txt. use Disallow: /xxxxxx.php. Keep one file type. Or you can tyr .htaccess file to moved 301 to new url.
